Warranty
Advanced Epoxology is proud to offer a lifetime warranty for the work that we do. With the warranty, there are exceptions for what is not covered under the warranty.
Below are common issues and damages that are not covered with the Advanced Epoxology lifetime warranty:
Customer-Caused Damage
Damage resulting from misuse or external impact is not covered. This includes, but is not limited to, dropping heavy weights, leaving corrosive substances on the surface for extended periods, or dragging sharp or heavy metal objects such as steel cabinets or gun safes across the floor.
Battery Acid Exposure
Battery acid damage—particularly from golf carts—is not covered. Golf carts should always be serviced outside of the garage to prevent potential damage.
Moisture-Related Issues
While a moisture vapor barrier may be installed, it does not guarantee coverage for significant underlying moisture problems. Homeowners are responsible for addressing the root cause of any moisture issues. Examples include improper drainage in landscaping, leaking water features, or plumbing issues beneath the concrete. If repairs are requested and moisture, calcium buildup, or efflorescence is found beneath the coating, the repair will be billable until the underlying issue is resolved.
Post-Installation Modifications
If items such as cabinets, safes, or water softeners are removed after installation, any newly exposed areas that were not originally coated will require an additional service charge to complete.
Non-Warranty Patch Work
Minor repairs not covered under warranty are typically available for a service fee, generally ranging from $100–$150 to cover labor, travel, and materials.
Concrete Cracking After Installation
Epoxy coatings do not cause concrete to crack. Cracks are typically the result of ground movement or structural shifts. Any cracking that occurs after installation is not covered under warranty.
Improper Surface Coverings
Placing plastic tarps, carpets, or rubber mats on the epoxy surface for extended periods (30 days or more) can trap moisture and lead to discoloration. Any resulting damage will require a paid repair.
Color Variations in Repairs
Due to batch variations in epoxy materials, as well as environmental factors like temperature and humidity, repaired or patched areas may not perfectly match the original finish.
